Coffee Shop Review: The Cool Spot in Fannie Bay

The Cool Spot is an awesome café in Fannie Bay, Darwin and with Darwin’s tropical climate, you need a cool spot to escape the humidity and heat.

This venue opens at 7am, 7 days a week and closes around 11pm. It is one of the few cafes in Darwin that stays open late.

There is an indoor area with air conditioning. When sitting inside, the smell of coffee and food cooking fills the air.

The Al Fresco area has fans and a stunning view of the Timor Sea.

The music is a great variety of 80’s and 90’s hits. It’s played loud enough to hear, but soft enough that it doesn’t drown out your conversation.

The Cool Spot is always busy but it is a relaxing place to go to where everyone seems to “slow down” and enjoy the atmosphere.

I love their cappuccinos that are served in black mugs that are white inside. The coffee blend that they use is Vittoria and it is 100% Arabica coffee beans that are roasted locally in Australia.

If you ever happen to be in Darwin and you want a great coffee with a relaxed atmosphere and stunning views, make sure to visit the Cool Spot at 1 Keith Lane, Fannie Bay, Darwin in Australia’s Northern Territory.
